Barbie...

Idea comes from an ad awhile back for tourism in Australia where Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee guy) says "Throw another shrimp on the barbie". Which, over here means throw a shrimp on your BBQ to cook. Supposedly Barbequed Shrimp is an Aussie tradition, though I've never eaten it.

I'm submitting this to a contest where the theme is Far Out. Let me know what you think?

It's great! :clap: I am laughing at this. I never played with Barbie, but my sister did, and I didn't like them. I was a tomboy as a young girl :giggle:

Hehe, had to laugh at this one.... :D Very well done!

I saw a documentary on Australian tourism and the 1984 Paul Hogan / Croc Dundee thing, prolly about a week ago. Then they showed the most recent ad, again with Paul Hogan but twenty years later. It's amazing how that one character has been so popular; almost as much as Barbie! :D

Glad to see it made you laugh. :D See, I did play with Barbie when I was younger, but I'm still willing to adorn her with shrimp. The border actually took me longer than the rest of the photograph. I cropped bits out of the other photographs that didn't make it. It'll be interesting to see what everybody else comes up with for the contest. I've got two more photos that I'm hoping to do before the contest. :D Thanks for the well wishes!

I was hoping it would make people laugh and you even know the ad I'm talking about! The Crocodile Dundee movies were huge on an international level for ages and I think everyone thought that's what Aussies were actually like. Now we're all like Steve Irwin. ;)
